Frequently Asked Questions

What are your opening hours?We are open Fridays from 4pm - 8pm, Saturdays from 10am - 8pm and Sundays 10am - 8pm (Southampton and Newbury) 10am - 6:30pm (Bracknell, Farnborough, Poole, Swindon and Worcester). We are also open 7 days a week during school holidays and bank holidays. Exclusive hire bookings are available any day of the week, please get in touch to discuss.

How much does it cost?Our General Admission ticket price is £12.50 for an hour’s session for both adults and children. We do offer a 20% saving on our Family Ticket up to 4 guests, minimum 1 adult and 2 children (under 18) required per booking. Children 3 and under go free, with a paying adult!

Do I need to book?We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment as we limit capacity to ensure the best possible gaming experience for everyone. Bookings are available online via the book now button for each venue. Walk-ins are available, space permitting. We charge a one off non-refundable booking fee of 0.95 for all bookings made via our website. Please note this is a per booking fee and is not per ticket on the booking.

Can I pay on the day?We are a cash free venue so only accept credit or debit cards. We accept all major cards; Mastercard, Visa, American Express.

Can children attend alone?Gamers 12 and under must have an adult in the venue with them. Children ages 6 and under must have an adult on the venue floor with them. Family members may wait and watch in The Hub area for free! To enter the arcade floor, a ticket must be purchased.

Do we need spectators' tickets?Everyone is required to have a ticket to enter the main gaming area, even if you do not intend to play. Spectators waiting in The Hub do not need to purchase a ticket, but will not be able to enter the arcade floor.

What time should I arrive for my booking?It’s always good to get down early so you don’t miss any of your session time. Please do not arrive any earlier than 10 minutes as this gives our staff enough time to prepare the best gaming experience for you.

Are all games set to free play, do I need to bring change?We are a cashless venue, so no need to bring a pocket full of change, all our games are set on free play for you to enjoy during your session!

What if I have a large group booking?Got the gang together? No problem! We allow groups of up to 15 people per General Admission session. For bigger groups, check out our Corporate Parties section for information on groups and Exclusive Hire options, or email parties@highscorearcades.co.uk.

Can I rent out the whole venue?Absolutely! Exclusive venue hire is available across all our sites. Contact us via parties@highscorearcades.co.uk to get the ball rolling or check out the Corporate Parties section on our website.

Will food and drink be available?We have cold drinks available to purchase at all our venues. You may bring a snack to eat before your session but we do not allow cakes or large amounts of food to be brought into the venue (unless you have booked one of our Birthday Party packages). There are plenty of places local to all venues to grab a bite to eat before or after your session.

Do you have a cloakroom?We do not have a cloakroom in our venues. You are welcome to bring your personal belongings with you, and leave them in The Hub if you wish, but please try to keep to a minimum as we cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings whilst on site.

Lost propertyGet in touch with us via email hello@highscorearcades.co.uk or phone 0208 102 9312 if you think you’ve left anything behind! We keep hold of lost property for one month, so it's to best check sooner rather than later!

What about toilet facilities?Our Bracknell venue has a disabled access toilet available throughout the day. Our Newbury venue has toilet facilities available on-site and also has disabled toilet facilities. Farnborough has all toilet facilities available within the shopping centre. Southampton has toilet facilities upstairs and we are currently working on making disabled toilet facilities available for the venue. Swindon has toilet facilities available in the shopping centre. Worcester has toilet facilities available in the shopping centre. Poole has toilets onsite with restricted access, but more toilets available in the shopping centre - contact us via hello@highscorearcades.co.uk

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?Our Newbury site does have a ramp for wheelchair access while Bracknell, Farnborough & Poole are all ground floor. Southampton has wheelchair access to the lower level of the arcade. Swindon is set on two floors but a lift is available at the entrance of the arcade in the shopping centre which allows access to both floors. Worcester's arcade floor is one level and the party room is accessible via a ramp. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us in advance of your visit at hello@highscorearcades.co.uk

Im going to be late/miss my booking, what should I do?Do what you can to get here as soon as possible, and our staff will do their best to accommodate your booking. We have a tight time schedule, so no promises that you’ll be able to get your game on!

Do you offer a Disability Concession?Yes, we offer a concession ticket for disabilities and special needs. This ticket enables one free carer included in their ticket for those who require assistance. Supporting documentation required upon arrival for eligibility.

What supporting documentation is accepted for proof of Disability?Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book.​ Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award​ Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit, Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Disability Students’ Allowance (DSA), or DID card (UK Disabled ID card).​ A valid Blue Badge​ In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI).​ Credibility’s Access Card with the carer/companion symbol

Do you offer a Blue Light Discount?Yes we do, just enter code BLC10 at checkout and bring your Blue Light card with you at the time of booking.

Do you offer student discount?Yes we do, just enter code SOSTU at checkout to discount the applicable item by 10% and bring your student card with you at the time of checking-in.

I'm having issues applying my discount code.Most discount codes are applicable to single space admission tickets only. Only one discount can be applied per booking. If you have multiple 'free space' codes then contact our Support team who can advise.

Do you clean the machines?The machines and key touch points are frequently sanitised throughout the day. Hand sanitisation stations are available at all venues.
